Habit stacking in Yolmira: anchor a habit

Anchor a new habit on one you already do, so the first reminds you of the second.

ENFRESPTITDEAR

An existing habit is the best reminder for a new one. In Yolmira, this is called an Anchor: "after my shower, ten minutes of reading".

Habit editor options: reminders, measurable habit and the Anchor section
Pick the habit that comes just before.

Set an anchor

  1. Open the new habit's editor (expand its card, then Edit).
  2. Scroll to Options, then Anchor.
  3. Under After a habit?, tap the habit it should follow. None removes the anchor.
  4. Save.

What happens next

When you check off the anchor, a calm card appears: You just did … And now? Tap Done if you did the new habit, or Later to come back to it.

Stack on a habit that has become automatic

Once a habit is acquired, its card offers Stack a new habit on it. That's a good moment to start the next one, because the old habit has become a reliable cue.

Tip. Pick an anchor that happens every day at a stable moment, and keep the new habit small. Ideas in 25 habit stacking examples.
