Data we collect
None.
Yolmira has no account system, no login, and no server. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you.
Data stored on your device
The app stores the following on your device, using the operating system's local storage:
- The habits you create — their name, icon, optional description, type (a good habit to build or a bad one to quit), frequency, start date, any measurable target (unit and amount), the goal they belong to, and the habit they follow, if any.
- The days you mark each habit as done — or, for a "quit" habit, the days you record a relapse — the amounts you log for measurable habits, and the cravings you get through.
- Your goals — their name, why they matter to you, colour, icon, deadline and milestones.
- Your journal — the text you write for each day, the mood you pick, your "Tomorrow, I…" line and whether you kept it, and the short notes you add to a habit for a given day.
- Your craving log — when a craving came, for which habit, how strong it was and what helped, if you say so.
- Each habit's reminder times, whether it is paused, your light days and days off, your season, and your app settings (for example your theme, language and first day of the week).
- Small local records that keep the app calm and consistent: whether you've seen the intro and a few tips or cards, how many times you've used "streak repair" this month, whether Yolmira Pro is unlocked, and when your free trial started.
Yolmira itself does not send this data anywhere. It is not backed up to our servers (we have none), not analysed, and not shared with anyone. Uninstalling the app deletes this data, including its automatic backups.
Automatic backups
When you leave the app, Yolmira saves a copy of your data to a file in the app's own storage on your phone. It keeps one file per day, for the 7 most recent days. You can restore one from inside the app. These files hold the same data as an export, including your journal, in plain JSON.
Yolmira does not upload these files. If your phone's own backup is on (iCloud Backup on iPhone, Google's backup on Android), your phone's system may include them, and on Android the app's other data too. Those backups are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms, and we have no access to them. You can manage them in your phone's settings.
Data export & import (you are in control)
Yolmira lets you export your own data to a plain JSON file and import it back later — useful for backups or moving to a new phone.
- You trigger export and import yourself, manually, from inside the app.
- When you export, the app hands the file to your device's standard share/save dialog and you choose the destination (for example a local file, Google Drive, or email). Yolmira does not upload anything itself and has no integration with any cloud service. Once the file reaches the destination you picked, that destination's own terms and privacy policy apply to it.
- When you import, the app only reads the single file you select and never touches anything else.
This is a data-portability convenience: your data stays yours, and exporting it is your explicit choice.
Permissions
- Notifications — used only to show the local, per-habit reminders you schedule inside the app, at the times you choose. The notification names the relevant habit, but nothing is sent anywhere — it is generated and shown entirely on your device.
- Microphone and speech recognition — asked for the first time you tap the microphone to dictate. Used only while you dictate. See Voice dictation below. If you refuse, nothing changes except that the microphone stays off: you can always type.
- Home-screen widget (Android and iPhone) — the optional widget shows today's habits and reads/writes the same local data on your device. It sends nothing anywhere.
Voice dictation
You can dictate instead of typing in the journal, your notes and a few other text fields. Dictation is optional and free, and nothing happens until you tap the microphone.
- Yolmira asks your phone to recognise your voice on the device itself (on-device speech recognition), so dictation works without an internet connection and Yolmira does not send your voice to any server.
- Yolmira only receives the resulting text and puts it in the field you are writing in, where you can edit it before it is saved on your device.
- Yolmira never records, stores or sends any audio, and never sends the text anywhere.
- If your phone has no on-device speech recognition, the microphone does not appear. On Android, your phone may first need to download the language once; Yolmira asks before your phone's system starts that download.
- Dictation stops when you tap the microphone again, leave the screen, the app goes to the background, or after 30 seconds without speech.
Purchases
Yolmira Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase. The purchase is processed entirely by the app store (Google Play / the App Store) — Yolmira never sees, receives or stores your payment details. The app only keeps a local flag on your device recording that Pro is unlocked. There is no subscription.
You can try Pro free for 7 days, once. On iPhone, the trial starts with a free in-app purchase processed by the App Store; on Android it is recorded on your device only. Either way, the app only keeps the date your trial started, on your device. Nothing is charged when the trial ends.
Third parties
Yolmira does not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or third-party data processors. The app is built with the Expo / React Native framework; the framework itself does not collect personal data in this app's configuration. Dictation uses your phone's own on-device speech recognition (see Voice dictation).
Children's privacy
Yolmira does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
